A selection of boutique wineries that you should consider

Even though we have over 10,000 Portuguese wines in store, we've been expanding our offerings every week with exciting new projects.

Our focus has been on small producers, unique new projects, and personal projects by renowned winemakers.

While we tend to consume so-called mainstream wines—those market-leading brands that provide us with quality assurance—on a daily basis, we sometimes seek something different because wine is also about discovery.

That's why there's nothing like boutique wineries, which typically strive to produce wines with distinctive profiles, whether through innovative or traditional winemaking methods, using different grape varieties or less common grape combinations, or simply because their size means the wines are produced more naturally.

We've recently added some projects worth checking out, including Octávio Freitas Winery in Madeira; Gerações da Talha in Alentejo; Tiago Macena's No Rules Wines project in Dão; Camaleão wines in Vinho Verde and Musgo wines in Dão from João Cabral de Almeida; and finally, Pedro Martin's partnerships with renowned winemakers in various regions through his Martin Boutique Wines project.

If you're looking for distinctive wines or wines that are out of the ordinary, this is where you'll find them.
