Product details
This is our first production from our vines in Povoa das Quartas, in Mr. António's vineyard. We carefully tend the few grapes, pressing them directly. Static decantation lasts 24 to 36 hours. The must is racked into a used 225 L French oak barrel. Fermentation takes place in the barrel and then aging on total lees. Despite the high acidity and low pH, malolactic fermentation proceeds naturally. After racking, it is returned to the barrel.
