Product details
Blended wine, parcel wine. The grapes for this wine come from our Girabolhos parcel, Torreão vineyard. A blend of varieties—Bical, Malvasia Fina, Cerceal-Branco, and Encruzado—dominate the blend. Whole-bunch direct pressing. Static decantation for 24 to 36 hours. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks. About halfway through the fermentation process, the wine is racked into 500L barrels: 1/3 new Hungarian oak, 2/3 second-use French oak barrels. Aged on fine lees, undisturbed, for about 10 months. Aged briefly and lightly filtered before bottling.
