The competition, organised by Grandes Escolhas, is unique in that its jury is composed exclusively of members of the media, whether television, radio, press or internet. The objectives of this competition are to open up wine appreciation beyond specialist critics and to broaden its scope to all available platforms.
Divided into five categories (Sparkling, White, Rosé, Red and Fortified), the wines were tasted blind and then the big winners were announced - ‘Grand Prize Press Choice’ for the 3 best wines classified in each category, and ‘Press Choice Award’ for the wines that obtained the highest ratings in this competition.
Shall we take a look at some of the winners? We highlight here wines that achieved the highest distinction in their category, such as Quinta da Rede Grand Reserve White, Dona Antónia 30 years or Pousio Selection Rosé (for a surprising 6.86 euros+ VAT). But in our selection today, you will find a wide range of winning wines.
The ‘Press Choice Awards’ competition has established itself on the national scene for its transparency. So don't miss our suggestions today and let yourself be surprised.
