Product details

Winemaking:
The grapes for this Castelão come from a 75-year-old old vineyard on poor, well-drained sandy ‘charneca’ soils. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel lagares after cold pre-maceration for 24 hours, with ageing for 12 months in ‘Allier’ French oak barrels, 50% new and 50% second use.
