Among the big winners in this edition, DOC Tejo was named Demarcated Region of the Year, in recognition of the dynamism and consistent quality that the region has been demonstrating, both in vibrant whites and in gastronomic and contemporary reds.

The Brand of the Year award went to Monte Velho, one of the most solid and recognised names in the Portuguese market, an example of consistency, identity and the ability to reach different consumer profiles while maintaining a consistent standard of quality.

In terms of wines, the Red Wine for Everyday Consumption award went to Casa de Santar Red 2022, a balanced and versatile wine that combines quality and affordability. The Red Wine of the Year was Chryseia 2023, confirming the status of excellence of this great Douro wine.

The W 2025 Awards once again highlight the diversity, vitality and quality of Portuguese wine, celebrating regions, brands, producers and professionals who continue to raise the sector to a level of growing national and international recognition.
