It is the meeting point between tradition, through the Van Zeller family's know-how in the wine sector (which dates back more than 400 years), and innovation, with a huge focus on the differentiation and uniqueness of its wines and presentations.
Barão de Vilar is currently the 6th largest company in terms of Port wine sales (the first, just after the 5 major groups in the sector), a status achieved after a series of successes, among which we highlight Álvaro van Zeller's election as winemaker of the year by Revista de Vinhos in 2013, or the 99 points awarded by Wine Enthusiast to Maynard's Vintage 2016 (another of the company's brands).
