Product details
This Port wine was produced using the traditional method. After hand-harvesting the overripe grapes, they were partially destemmed and crushed in the wine press, where they underwent light maceration before alcoholic fermentation (AF). Fermentation was stopped with the addition of brandy at the ideal time determined by the winemaker. This resulted in a fortified wine, aged in oak barrels in the Douro Valley. During aging, the lees were removed and several adjustments were made. This Colheita was stabilized and filtered before bottling in Gaia.
