The wines used to make up the blend are aged for at least three years in small oak barrels in cellars in the Douro Valley. Each wine is aged individually, and just a few months before bottling, the wines meet and blend, achieving the unique balance and structure of a Tawny.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz,Tinta Barroca,Tinto Cão
Tasting Notes:
Reddish brick colour, with aromas of ripe red fruits well balanced by nuances of dried fruits and spicy vanilla. On the palate, it is elegant and smooth, with lingering notes of dried fruits and honey, leading to a long finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
The bottle should be kept upright, at a constant temperature, and away from direct sunlight. It should be served chilled. Once opened, consume within 4 to 6 weeks.
Food Pairing:
Perfect with desserts made with almonds, dried fruit, or milk chocolate. Also great with strong cheeses.
