Product details
Série Ímpar is the result of a challenge given to Sogrape Vinhos' oenology team to create different, special and unique wines. Wines with a personal stamp, created from the inspiration of the oenologist. Defying common sense, Série Ímpar Solitário is born - a bold red that asserts itself in an area renowned for the excellence of its white wines, Bucelas. Vinification takes place in the Quinta da Romeira winery, with gentle reception and destemming in order to preserve the characteristics of the grapes as much as possible. This was followed by fermentation in small lagares, with manual treading. After the end of alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels. Aged for 24 months in 2nd to 4th year French oak barrels, followed by 10 months in bottle.

Ruby colour. Exuberant nose of ripe fruit, reminiscent of forest berries, plum and eucalyptus leaf. The tannins present are silky and very elegant, the result of the 24 months of aging in oak barrels. The aftertaste is persistent and salivating.

Disclaimer:
The photo shown is a copy of one of the bottles we have available for delivery. Keep in mind that the older the wine, the more likely the bottle will have some external dirt or slightly damaged labels. This does not mean, however, that the wine is not in a condition to be consumed.
The wines from our rarity zone are stored and air-conditioned in the most correct way so that the wine ages correctly in the bottle, but over time, the wine evolves and changes its characteristics.
We recommend that you carefully remove the cork and let the wine air for some time in order to release its natural aromas. Avoid decanting as it can be a very aggressive operation for old wines.
