Winemaking:
This is not a traditional Vinhão. It is a contemporary interpretation of a typical wine, which gives it a softer character, less acidity, a slight touch of barrel and soft colour. It results from a selection of grapes that had an innovative vinification, creating a wine aligned with an international consumption profile. The grapes come from the best vines, they are vinified with a cold pre-maceration of two days, in order to promote the controlled extraction of the colour and smooth tannins. Then, the alcoholic fermentation takes place by the action of selected yeasts that are co-inoculated with milky bacteria to make the malolactic fermentation. The wine remains in bâtonnage until the moment of bottling, for a period of more than 3 months.
