Product details
This wine was made using two complementary approaches to maximise varietal expression and the blend’s structure. Part of the must was obtained by pressing destemmed and lightly crushed grapes, with exclusive use of the tear fraction obtained under very low pressure — ensuring freshness, aromatic purity and delicacy. The other component was obtained by pressing also destemmed and gently crushed grapes, subjected to a short pre-fermentative skin maceration. This process aimed to increase mouthfeel and aromatic complexity, favouring the release of aromatic and structuring compounds from the skins. Fermentation took place entirely in stainless steel vats, with the grape varieties vinified separately, ensuring precise control of their individual characteristics. The prolonged aging on lees allowed for enhanced unctuousness and volume, while preserving the primary aromatic expression — creating an elegant and fresh profile, with excellent gastronomic potential.

Tasting Notes:
In this wine, we sought the freshness, elegance and complexity that the great whites from the Douro can offer, through a careful selection of grapes coming mainly from Quinta da Fonte Branca, in Lamego – a terroir of excellence for white grape varieties, where the Symington family has consistently invested in strengthening the vines with native varieties.
