Product details
The grapes were harvested manually, on Saturday 14th of August at the island of Porto Santo, and loaded onto a refrigerated truck, for transport by boat to the island of Madeira (since it is not legal to vinify in Porto Santo). At 11:00 at night, they were sorted on a sorting table and pressed in whole bunch, for decantation deposits inside a refrigerated container, being separated three pressing fractions, without any use of SO2 (sulphites). The first and second press fractions were placed to ferment in used 228 L French oak barrels, where they were aged for 10 months.
