Montado, represents a safe choice in the Alentejo region. The purchase of Casa Agricola José de Sousa Rosado Fernandes in 1986 saw a long-held dream become reality for José Maria da Fonseca: to produce Alentejo’s wine using traditional winemaking methods from a historic and prestigious estate. The property won on both counts, having produced wine since 1878 and having one absolutely legendary vintage - José de Sousa 1940. Montado was first produced in from the 1991 harvest and has kept to the original blend ever since. Maceration at 28ºC with stems. Ageing 4 months in French and American oak. Vinification at 20ºC without skin contact.

Tasting Notes:
Colour Yellow with some greenish tints. Aroma of Litchis, lime, sweet pineapple and tropical fruits. Palate Fruity, soft and balanced acidity.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve at a temperature of 7ºC but, enjoy at 11ºC.
Food Pairing:
Good to accompany fish.
