Today we've put together some of the most exciting Portuguese wines of our time, exceptional whites and reds. I'm sure you've heard of many of them, but we also hope to surprise you with some new proposals, because long gone are the days when the top Portuguese wines were just Barca Velha or Pêra Manca.
There are 24 great wines, all of them with excellent scores in the sector's magazines, and which deserve all our admiration.
A highlight is Fita Preta Enxarrama, with 97 points in Revista de Vinhos and considered one of the 30 wines of the year 2024. Powerful, creamy but fresh and with excellent quality tannins. A wine with enormous ageing potential.
For the whites, we must emphasise the enormous wines from the Vinho Verde region. Soalheiro Primeiras Vinhas, Quinta do Regueiro Maturado and Quinta de Santiago Rascunho are here to prove that Vinhos Verdes are much more than light, fruity wines perfect for a summer lunch.
