Product details
The grapes are hand-picked and selected in the field, and transported to the winery in a short space of time in 18 kg boxes. After a light skin maceration at a low temperature, the grapes are pressed, followed by alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of between 16°C and 18°C. The wine is bottled during fermentation, finishing in the bottle. This is the traditional way of making Vinho Verde, a method used by our ancestors. It is a true “Pet-Nat”. The wine has not been stabilized or filtered, so the end result is a wine with a cloudy appearance, with some particles remaining in suspension, which contribute to an intense and fresh mouthfeel.

Loureiro,Fernão Pires
Tasting Notes:
Casal de Ventozela Pet Nat, as a natural wine, has an irreverent, uncontrollable and spontaneous profile, with its final result left to Mother Nature. We therefore try to have as little intervention as possible in its fermentation and finishing. In this harvest, it developed a tropical profile, with salinity and persistent freshness, where our proximity to the Atlantic Ocean played an important role.
