Product details

Winemaking:
Bacalhôa Baga is born in an ideal terroir for the Baga variety (clay-limestone soils and exposure to the West). At harvest, slow maturation was achieved, with the year progressing in the best possible way – sunny but without too much heat and despite some rainfall during the beginning of the harvest we managed to obtain very ripe and healthy fruit. This was followed by traditional vinification with cold pre-fermentative maceration and a long cuvaison, which resulted in a wine that was intense in color, aroma and flavor and very elegant. A 14-month aging in new 300-liter French and Russian oak barrels was the last stage before bottling.
