The winners of the Trás-os-Montes Wine Competition 2025

It lies on the north-eastern edge of the country and doesn't yet enjoy the prestige of neighbouring regions, but its combination of numerous old vines and the altitude it is associated with make it a region with impressive potential that deserves to be recognised across borders.

A few days after the announcement of the winners of the Trás-os-Montes Wine Competition 2025, we decided to leave you with some suggestions of the winning wines (and others) that you really must get to know.

The classic Quinta de Sobreiró de Cima Reserve White 2023 once again won the gold medal. It's a wine more than used to receiving top honours in numerous national and international competitions, and has already become a symbol of the region.

The Terras de Mogadouro Grand Reserve range also won top honours, with both the white and red wines receiving gold medals. An innovative wine project that tells stories from its birth to its implementation, where people's close ties to this land and its origins stand out.

The Trás-os-Montes Wine Competition 2025 is more than a competition, it's a celebration of the territory, the work of the region's producers and the authenticity of the wines produced there. The diversity and quality of the awards show that Trás-os-Montes is more than deservedly making a name for itself.
