Product details

Winemaking:
This fortified wine was made with several typical grape varieties from the region. After selecting the best grapes in the vineyard, at optimum ripeness, they were hand-picked into small perforated boxes in which they were transported to the winery, where they were received on a sorting conveyor belt, completely destemmed and crushed immediately. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, and fermentation was interrupted in order to preserve the natural sugar of the grapes by adding selected grape brandy at a low temperature so as not to negatively affect the organoleptic quality of the wine. To qualitatively improve its organoleptic characteristics, this First DOC fortified wine from Trás-os-Montes was left to rest for 12 years in old oak barrels, used for 20-year-old Port wine, resulting in a product of excellent quality.
