Produced from genuine old vines in the region, over 100 years old. A batch of indigenous grape varieties from the Dão region, with harvests carried out between the end of September and the beginning of October according to the ripeness of the grape. After harvest, it underwent a 10-day vinification process in granite mills, carrying out malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak barrels, the latter lasting 12 months. The wine aged in contact with fine lees for 12 months in French oak barrels until bottling.

Tasting Notes:
Intense ruby color. Elegant aroma, combining notes of wood and fruit, with ripe black cherry, light chocolate. A soft and polished red, with good volume in the mouth and good persistence. Well integrated wood present and very polished tannin giving a light texture and dryness. A balanced wine, in harmony and with persistence.
Store and Serve Advices:
The bottle must be kept horizontally, in a cool, dry environment and protected from light. A wine with some longevity, to drink leisurely at 16ºC, over many years.
Food Pairing:
A great wine to pair with well-prepared dishes such as tasty oven-roasted lamb, traditional desserts or conventual sweets.
