Product details
From the mountains of Beira Interior comes this red wine made exclusively from the Baga grape variety, sourced from the oldest plots. Careful manual harvesting for boxes of up to 20kg. The grapes were carefully selected at the sorting table and then destemmed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats with temperature control and indigenous yeasts. Aged for 8 months in stainless steel and 16 months in oak barrels.
Grape Varieties:
Baga
Tasting Notes:
With a vibrant ruby colour, it expresses the rigour of mountain winemaking, at an altitude of around 700 metres, where the warm days and cool nights favour a slow and balanced maturation. Deep aromas of dark fruit and subtle hints of earth and spice stand out, while firm, well-structured tannins give way to an enveloping, persistent freshness. The long, mineral finish reflects the authenticity of the granite soils.
