Product details
The Touriga nacional and Touriga Franca varieties are two of the most important varieties produced in Portugal and whose quality is recognized by everyone. After a rigorous maturation control, looking for a balance between concentration, total acidity and sugars/probable alcohol content, hand-picked grapes were chosen. These were de-stemmed and vinified in a press with foot treading 3 times a day, for 5 days. Fermented with selected yeasts and at a controlled temperature. After pressing at low pressures, in which the tear wine was separated, malolactic fermentation took place in a tank, followed by filling the wine in 300-liter French oak barrels. During the 26-month internship, bâtonnage was carried out at least once a month. Aged in bottle for at least 12 months.
