Product details
The grapes are harvested manually in September in boxes of 20 kg. In the cellar before being crushed, they spend 12 hours on a cooling chamber at 10ºC followed by a gentle pressure in a vertical press. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts and the wine matures in oak casks and tanks during 9 months. During the maturing process the wine is not moved in order to respect the character of the grapes. Made from a parcel in Mêda (Douro Superior) that provide open colour wines with elegant aromas with good acidity when planted in altitude. Part of fermentation is made in used French oak barrels at 25º c. Matures during 9 months in barrels.
