Wines for Easter for less than 15 euros

Easter is a time for family gatherings and festivities, and of course these celebrations take place around the table.

Easter marks the end of the Lenten fast, which is why the traditional dishes are almost all meat dishes. Roast kid, suckling pig, folar de carne, chanfana... these are some of the dishes you're sure to enjoy if you spend this Easter in Portugal, and for all of them, we suggest a beautiful Portuguese red wine (for less than 15 euros!). Shall we take a look at some suggestions?

To start with a Folar of meat and sausages, we recommend an elegant red wine from Trás-os-Montes or Dão. It will also be the perfect companion for the cheese board that will certainly not be missing before the meal. Try Quinta de Sobreiró de Cima Reserve or Quinta do Margarido Jaen.

For the most traditional of all Easter dishes, Roast kid, we suggest a full-bodied red from the Douro or Alentejo, for example, DR Touriga Nacional Reserve or one of the best-sellers, Vallado Red.

If you're more of a suckling pig fan, know that it goes beautifully with a red sparkling wine, such as São Domingos or Terras do Demo. An unlikely but winning combination.

May it be a delicious Easter, accompanied by a good Portuguese wine!
