The traditional grape varieties, mostly Trincadeira and Castelão, were hand-picked and trodden on foot for 2 days. At the spontaneous start of fermentation, the grapes were pressed and the must kept in unlined clay jars from the 19th century. XIX, until the end of alcoholic fermentation. The 12-month internship was carried out in century-old barrels made of Portuguese oak and chestnut. After decanting, we bottle an unfiltered, unstabilized wine.

Tasting Notes:
Vibrant ruby red color, with garnet reflections. Aromas of balsam and spices, wrapped in fresh red fruits. Notes of forest with pine needles on the floor, delicate and very fine tannins, which translate into reactive acidity in the mouth. Tense, crunchy and elegant texture. It makes freshness its character and identity, never tiring, unfolding several layers of flavors, challenging the senses and arranging them on the table.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC. Bottles should be stored horizontally in a clean, airy place protected from light and with normal conditions of mild temperature and constant humidity.
Food Pairing:
It goes well with various red meat dishes, cold cuts and cured or semi-cured cheeses.
