Product details
Quinta da Teixuga is planted in granite soils at an altitude of between 400 and 500 metres. The vinification of this wine was intended to be different. On a base of previously destemmed, crushed and drained Touriga Nacional skins, must from Encruzado grapes was released and fermented together. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature with periodic pumping over in order to integrate the white must with the tannins and anthocyanins present in the Touriga Nacional skins in the best possible way.

Tasting Notes:
The aroma is subtle, combining the characteristic freshness of Encruzado with the red fruit and floral notes of Touriga Nacional. What you taste in the mouth only confirms what the aroma suggested: the freshness and vivacity of Encruzado supported by the elegant tannins of Touriga Nacional, which in themselves constitute the best that the two queen varieties of Dão have to offer.
