Familia Margaça Talhão 01 Touriga Nacional Red 2022

Alentejo
90 pts Revista de Vinhos - Deep violet colour. Clean, expressive and complex nose. Notes of chocolate, liquorice and pine needles lift all the other primary aromas of ripe berries such as blackcurrant and blackberry, floral notes of violet, typical of the Touriga Nacional variety, and fresh herbaceous nuances of thyme and camphor. All this bouquet, harmonious and growing in the glass throughout the tasting. In the mouth there is a duality between elegance of body and intensity of flavour. The tannins are fine and velvety and the alcohol is perfectly integrated. The freshness, conferred by a balanced acidity, forces us to salivate and ‘pushes’ us to taste again. It benefits from aeration. Wild fruit and hints of chocolate accompany the tasting until the long, elegant finish.

Store and Serve Advices:
Complex, elegant and intense, we recommend consuming this wine at 16ºC.

Food Pairing:
A clearly gastronomic wine. Serve it in a large Bordeaux-style glass and enjoy its evolution throughout the meal. Its elegance, combined with the intensity and complexity of its aromas, make this wine an excellent partner for intense, well-seasoned oven-baked dishes such as rooster, game birds or even pork shank. Due to its fresh acidity, softer and fattier cuts of Iberian pork such as plumas or secretos on the grill will also be good allies for this wine.

Allergens:
Contains sulphites.

Reviews and Awards:
. 90 points in Revista de Vinhos;
. 17,5 points in Vinho Grandes Escolhas.
