Product details

Winemaking:
Cartuxa rosé was produced from two plots of Touriga Nacional, planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. Manual harvest, with subsequent cooling of the grapes to 14ºC, before total destemming and visual selection of berries. After pressing (gravity loading), only the fraction of the must from drainage and low pressure was selected for fermentation in stainless steel tanks and barrels – 10% of the batch fermented in used barrels, intensifying volume and greasiness. Malolactic fermentation was not carried out. Aging on fine lees for nine months with regular bâtonnage.
