Rosé sparkling wines are often forgotten, perhaps many consumers still associate them with inferior quality, but of course a good rosé sparkling is in no way inferior to a white sparkling, and many of the world's most prestigious producers already include one or more exclusive rosés in their portfolio.
There is therefore no reason not to consider a rosé to accompany appetisers, a meal, or simply for moments of celebration and conviviality.
Production in Portugal is still residual when compared to white sparklings, but the suggestions we're giving you today are wise choices that perfectly balance floral notes with the aromas of a second fermentation. The vast majority of our choices come from Bairrada or Távora-Varosa, the Portuguese regions of choice for producing this style of wine.
Take a look at the Colinas de São Lourenço Rosé from Pinots, which has been picking up excellent scores in industry magazines. For exceptional value for money, we recommend Montanha Love Pink (Not even 10 euros!). Try it and see for yourself how the rosé version is in no way second to the white version. It will be a pleasant surprise!
