Grapes from vineyards in the Riba Corgo with over 60 years old of age. Located in schist terrains with very stony and excellent exposure. It is characterized by a high density planting, low income and an unusual combination of traditional varieties from the Douro valley. Hand harvested in small boxes. Total stalk, pre-cold maceration, fermentation at moderate temperature control in stainless steel vats with gentle daily pumping, Long post fermentation maceration. Ageing in French oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting Notes:
Very intense and deep red-violet colour. Aroma very vigorous with good intensity and complexity which brings out the ripe berries, black plum and mineral notes with balsamic touch, vanilla and spices. Bodied, with firm tannins, focused on fruit and very long finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
Best served at a temperature between 17 º C and 19 º C.
Food Pairing:
Goes well with spicy dishes and red meats and sheep cured cheeses.
