Product details
The grapes were hand-harvested at their ideal point of ripeness, with the aim of achieving a strong ripeness, leading to greater aromatic and polyphenolic concentrations. The wine was made in a wine press, with foot treading and fermentation in stainless steel vats, thus allowing the quality constituents present in the skins of the ripe grapes to pass smoothly into the wine, with light pumping over and prolonged maceration. After malolactic fermentation, the wine aged for 14 months in new and first-year French oak barrels.

Sousão

Deep ruby colour. The nose is full of magnificent notes of ripe black fruit, with a slight vegetal touch characteristic of Sousão, combined with light smoky touches from the barrel ageing. On the palate, it is voluminous, with firm tannins and a vibrant, very elegant acidity. Light notes of chocolate and coffee, combined with black fruit such as plums and blackcurrants, which give it a beautiful persistence and a long finish.
