Grape Varieties:
Traditional grape varieties
Tasting Notes:
Deep brown in colour with broad amber reflections, this wine has an elegant and floral nose, wonderfully perfumed, with an opulent core of wild honey, molasses, tea leaf and delicate red cherry compote, providing remarkable freshness. Aromas of cedar and cigar box, notes of wild rosemary, thyme and a subtle hint of fresh mint add an understated level of complexity. The palate is lush, lifted by vibrant acidity, with flavours of blood orange marmalade, dried figs, apricots and baba rum. The finish is bright, balanced, fresh and harmonious. An extraordinary Single Harvest Tawny Port.
Store and Serve Advices:
We recommend serving this wine slightly chilled, ideally at a temperature between 12º and 16ºC. Given its particular characteristics, this wine can be enjoyed for a long period of time after opening the bottle. Ideally, we recommend drinking the wine within two months of opening the bottle.
Food Pairing:
It goes wonderfully with many desserts. It pairs very well with flavours of figs, almonds and caramel. It is also excellent with a custard or a bowl of strawberries. It can also be enjoyed on its own, at the end of a meal or with nuts and other dried fruits.
Allergens:
Contains sulfites.
Disclaimer:
The photo shown is a copy of one of the bottles we have available for delivery. Keep in mind that the older the wine, the more likely the bottle will have some external dirt or slightly damaged labels. This does not mean, however, that the wine is not in a condition to be consumed.
The wines from our rarity zone are stored and air-conditioned in the most correct way so that the wine ages correctly in the bottle, but over time, the wine evolves and changes its characteristics.
We recommend that you carefully remove the cork and let the wine air for some time in order to release its natural aromas. Avoid decanting as it can be a very aggressive operation for old wines.
