Product details
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Grape Varieties:
Aragonêz,Petit Verdot,Sousão
Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby colour, anticipating an intense wine. Expressive, complex and clean nose. In the foreground, notes of warm spice reminiscent of cinnamon and black pepper, coffee and chocolate, emphasising the ageing in barrels. Bouquet complemented by aromas of black fruit jam and hints of liquorice. The palate is muscular, intense and very gastronomic. Noticeable but well-polished tannins, balanced by surprising acidity. A full-bodied wine with great structure and high quality. On the palate, fruity aromas of black cherry and plum stand out and accompany the tasting right through to the long and very pleasurable finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
This wine is ready to be enjoyed but will benefit from 3 to 5 years of ageing. Full-bodied, powerful and intense, we recommend serving this wine at 18ºC.
Food Pairing:
Intense, rustic and immensely gastronomic, it begs to be savoured at the table. Although it pairs well with red meats, with strong sauces or just on the grill, game dishes or even cosy stews, we mainly recommend tasting this wine with well-seasoned oven food. Its spicy flavours, lively tannins and remarkable acidity make lamb so typical of Alentejo cuisine.
Allergens:
Contains sulphites.
