Vintage Port is often considered to be the highest category in the world of Port and is especially suited to bottle ageing. Produced from grapes from a single year, it is bottled two to three years after the harvest and gradually ages for several decades in the bottle. One of the great things about Vintage Port is that it is attractive at practically every stage of its evolution in the bottle.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Sousão,Old Vines
Tasting Notes:
Dark Red colour. Complex aromas of black fruits with mint and liquorice. Very voluminous and full-bodied in the palate, it presents powerful tannins and a crisp acidity.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve at 12-14°C.
Food Pairing:
Perfect to serve paired with game meet, foie-gras, chocolate and cheeses.
