The Ramilo Ramisco Castelão 2023 is a rare combination of two of the most emblematic grape varieties of the Colares region. The Ramisco, tense and austere, meets the Castelão, rounder and fruitier, in an expression where the Atlantic is always present. Hand-harvested, foot-trodden in lagar with indigenous yeasts and partially aged in used barrels.

Tasting Notes:
A superbly elegant red wine from Lisbon, with notes of dark cherry, dried leaves, and undergrowth. On the palate, it is delicate and precise, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and a marked earthy component that evokes the mineral character of the terroir. A refined, profound Burgundy, true to its origin. Wow, a Lisbon... but it could easily pass for Burgundy.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve at 16ºC.
Food Pairing:
Seared tuna or grilled octopus; Roast suckling pig; Duck with orange; Light Asian cuisine or vegetarian dishes with beetroot or fennel; Soft, aged cheeses.
