Product details
This red wine, produced from the Castelão grape variety, was vinified using the traditional method with complete fermentation after cold maceration for 48 hours in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25ºC. Part of the wine aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels, and the remaining part aged for 24 months in American oak barrels. After bottling, it aged in the bottle for 3 years.

Tasting Notes:
It has a garnet color. The aromas are complex with notes of ripe fruit, jam, jelly and spices from the wood aging, which give it more complexity and enhance its elegance. In the mouth it has a well-balanced structure, showing well-polished tannins and a pleasant, long-lasting finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
It should be decanted or aerated before consumption. Serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
Food Pairing:
A good accompaniment to fatty sausage tapas and intense cheeses and a perfect combination for typical Portuguese dishes, game meats, feijoada and cozido à Portuguesa.
