Product details
Ururabo means Flower in a Bantu language. “Vinho de Flor”, as the name suggests, has the particularity of aging in Jerez boots, under a “veil” of flor yeast, which develops on the surface of the wines in contact with oxygen. This process is known worldwide mainly for its representation in the famous fortified wines from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. Niepoort Ururabo results from the application of this technique to the vinification of typical Bairrada grape varieties, to produce a still wine with the oxidative character of a Jerez.
