Product details
Winemaking:
2002 was a difficult year. Definitely the biggest challenge of the decade. Since no grapes were used to produce Vintage Port, our best selection was used to make this Colheita. Hand-picked, sustainable and dried grapes from the Quinta Vale d'Agodinho vineyard. Fermented on native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Aged for two years in stainless steel tanks. After most of the natural decanting, this Port was transferred to seasoned oak vats and barrels to age for 18 years until bottling in 2022. Unfiltered.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Franca,Tinta Barroca,Tinta Roriz,Touriga Nacional,Tinto Cão
Tasting Notes:
Very complex and intense notes of spices, caramel and nuts. Powerful entry with a rich profusion of dried fruit, mid palate full of candied fruit. Spices on the lingering finish make up this layered, complex and elegant Port.
