The grapes from Quinta do Noval are trodden by foot to obtain the must and then, during fermentation, they are crushed again in the traditional stone presses of the Quinta do Noval. This Tawny 40 Years Old is a blend of Old Port wines from different vintages, with an average age of 40 years, aged in oak casks.

The Noval Tawny 40 years represents the memory of Quinta do Noval, the history of the last 40 years. This wine has a remarkable concentration due to its slow evaporation during 40 years in contact with wood. Its aromatic range has developed immensely.
Store and Serve Advices:
Serve cool at 9-14°C. Decantation is not necessary because this filtered port has no sediment. It is ready to drink as soon as it is bottled. It can be enjoyed for about 3 months, keeping the bottle in a cool place.
Food Pairing:
Particularly enjoyable with a dessert, with dark chocolate or cheese. Also on its own at the end of a meal.
