Product details
The year was marked for being a more productive and sunny year. This allowed an anticipated harvest in September. After the grapes have been selected in the vine, a second selection took place at the winery. 30% of the grapes were destemmed and 70% were used as whole bunch, which allowed to extract colour and aroma compounds more smoothly. The alcoholic fermentation, which took 3 weeks, and the complementary malolactic fermentation, took place in stainless steel vats during 3 weeks. Then the wine aged 100% in 400L French oak barrels, used for one year, where it remained for 10 months. After this time, it was transferred to stainless steel vats, where it was kept during 7 months.

Tasting Notes:
Produced to be consumed young, it has a great ageing potential. Deep ruby colour, with aromas of tobacco, involved by notes of wild berries, forming a typical Douro set. Seductive in the mouth, with some rusticity from the grapes' stem, combined with an intense minerality, this wine has a modern, long and fine profile.
