Product details

Winemaking:
Harvested by hand at their optimum point, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and vinified according to a process based on careful maceration with extraction of colour, tannins and aromas from the films, complemented by permanent reassembly during fermentation. This takes place in mills, at a controlled temperature between 28-30ºC, until reaching the desired Baume degree. In this phase, the wine brandy (benefit) is added, giving rise to a fortified wine. LBV is a high quality wine, from a single year considered exceptional, bottled between the fourth and sixth year after harvest.

Grape Varieties:
Traditional grape varieties

Tasting Notes:

Store and Serve Advices:
The wine must be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations, and the bottle must remain in an upright position. As a natural product, Port Wine is subject to creating a deposit with age. Once the bottle is opened, it is recommended to consume it within 2 to 4 months. Serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.

Balancing the intensity of flavours, the LBV is the ideal option to accompany main meat dishes, such as filet mignon. Its versatility knows no borders, being perfect to combine with an exuberant mint chocolate cheesecake, a thousand pear leaves and chocolate or simply to enjoy with medium intensity cheeses.
