The grapes were all hand-picked into small 17kg boxes and transported to the winery, where they remained in cold storage until the following morning. The Viosinho was sorted on a sorting mat, destemmed and pressed. Fermentation took place in new and used French oak barrels. The Arinto was also selected on a sorting mat, gently destemmed and left to macerate on the skins for 24 hours before being pressed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel until almost the end, when it was transferred to new and used barrels where fermentation finished. Both wines were aged in barrels. In November of the year following the harvest, the final blend was made, the first blend of white wine from Quinta da Boavista.
