Traditional vinification in the estate's granite wine presses, with foot treading to obtain the must and the best possible extraction of aromas, colour and tannins during fermentation. The wine is aged for 18 months in casks in the estate's climate-controlled warehouses in the Douro demarcated region before being bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Deep colour and clear floral and black cherry aromas, blackcurrant and a slight hint of spices. There are also notes of fig, cocoa and dried flowers. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, with firm tannins, balanced acidity and well-defined fruit. The structure is solid, with a mineral component that contributes to the definition of the wine. The finish is long and persistent, revealing purity and ageing potential.
Store and Serve Advices:
Should be opened two hours before serving and decanted. Serve between 15º and 17º C. Store the bottle in a horizontal position, in a cool, dry and dark place.
Food Pairing:
Drink with cheese like Stilton or Gorgonzola or with deserts based on red fruits or dark chocolate.

The wines from our rarity zone are stored and air-conditioned in the most correct way so that the wine ages correctly in the bottle, but over time, the wine evolves and changes its characteristics.
We recommend that you carefully remove the cork and let the wine air for some time in order to release its natural aromas. Avoid decanting as it can be a very aggressive operation for old wines.
