Like the Fonseca Vintage Port and Guimaraens Vintage Port, blended from the wines of its three estates, the company also offers rich, velvety Single Quinta Vintage Ports produced entirely from Quinta do Panascal’s produce. These are the pure expression of the estate’s terroir.

Tasting Notes:
Opaque purple in color with a narrow violet rim. The nose opens with a riotous wave of concentrated, dense cassis and black cherry combined with a sumptuous confection of molasses and dark chocolate. As it develops, notes of damson plum emerge from the seemingly impenetrable layer of dark red fruits followed by heady aromas of aromatic herbs and exotic notes of black pepper and sandalwood. On the palate, the rich, luscious fruitiness of this wine combines with grainy, beautifully integrated tannins to produce an eruption of texture and flavor. The opulent black fruit flavors are seemingly endless and are lifted by a spicy freshness on the finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
Decant and serve between 16 and 18ºC, in a suitable glass.
Food Pairing:
Walnuts are an excellent accompaniment to Vintage Port, as are blue cheeses and other intensely flavoured cheeses. Dried fruits, such as apricots and figs, also pair very well with it. Alternatively, you can drink it plain and enjoy its intense and complex flavours in a not too small glass, surrounded by good company.
