Product details
All the grapes were hand-picked and sorted before entering the winery. The grapes were foot trodden. When the must reaches the desired sugar level for the final Port, the brandy is added. The wine remains in the Lagar for a further two days, with a light treading twice a day. It is then transferred to the storage vat, along with all the press wine. The Ports are then aged in very old wooden casks (over 100 years old) and small stainless steel vats until bottling.
