Winemaking:
Blending grape varieties is still an uncommon practice in Madeira wine blends. During Dirk's visit to one of Vinhos Barbeito's warehouses, we came up with the idea of making a different kind of wine while tasting the wines straight from the barrels. We combined the acidity of Sercial, the exuberance of Verdelho with the structure of Tinta Negra, from vineyards located in different places on the north coast of Madeira Island. The blend was aged in used French oak casks and 1200 numbered bottles were bottled.

Tasting Notes:
The nose shows hints of aniseed flower, some stalks, apricot, macerated fruit and a slight caramel flavour. The palate is round, fresh and long.
Store and Serve Advices:
As an aperitif serve at a temperature of 10ºC; as a dessert wine serve at 16ºC.
Food Pairing:
Excellent as an digestive, it is a good wine for meditation.
