Product details
Vintage Ports come from a single harvest and have exceptional organoleptic characteristics, showing a dark red colour, a great structure and intense fruity aromas and flavours. They are bottled two years after the harvest and in most cases spend many years maturing in the bottle. Through this ageing process Vintage Ports are kept away from the influence of the atmosphere, which makes them loose their colour very slowly and retain their typical fruitiness. In order to maintain richness and power they are neither fined nor filtered, therefore throwing a large amount of sediment as they mature.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby colour with narrow purple maple. A nose of wonderfully pure and vibrant red berries with fresh aromas of blackberry, raspberry, cherry and vivid plum and apricot notes. Emerging behind this curtain of fresh fruit are elegant aromas of black pepper and nutmeg, mocha notes and aromas of cedar wood and balsamic herbs. In contrast, the palate is voluptuous, with dense tannins that fill the mouth, providing body and firmness and a thick juice of black berries that flows in a prolonged end. Although the first impression is of an ethereal purity, wine develops an intricate complexity in the glass displaying the powerful but beautifully integrated tannins that are the hallmark of this year.

Disclaimer:
The photo shown is a copy of one of the bottles we have available for delivery. Keep in mind that the older the wine, the more likely the bottle will have some external dirt or slightly damaged labels. This does not mean, however, that the wine is not in a condition to be consumed.
The wines from our rarity zone are stored and air-conditioned in the most correct way so that the wine ages correctly in the bottle, but over time, the wine evolves and changes its characteristics.
We recommend that you carefully remove the cork and let the wine air for some time in order to release its natural aromas. Avoid decanting as it can be a very aggressive operation for old wines.
