The grapes, at the ideal stage of maturity, are harvested manually and stored in a cold chamber for 12 hours, in order to preserve their characteristics. This is followed by partial destemming and crushing in a wine press, where intense maceration takes place, before and during alcoholic fermentation with pumping for greater skin extraction. Wine brandy is added to the fermentation when the desired quantity of sugars is obtained, thus creating a fortified wine. This Port wine ages in oak vats in the Douro, and the final blend is composed of wines in keeping with the style and quality of the year itself. This wine has not undergone a stabilisation process, so a natural deposit may form in the bottle.

Tasting Notes:
Wine with an opaque appearance and deep purple color. Aromas of dark plums, heather, cherry jam and flavors of licorice and cocoa. Extremely full-bodied but silky and very harmonious. Very long finish.
Store and Serve Advices:
It is recommended to store in a cool place, at a constant temperature (ideal storage temperature 12ºC), away from light, and in a horizontal position.
Food Pairing:
Recommended for ending large lunches or dinners. It goes unquestionably well with dark chocolate desserts or strong cheeses. Citrus cheesecake, blueberry and goat cheese.
