The winners of the Lisbon Wine Competition 2025

The Lisbon Wine Competition, promoted by the Lisbon Region Wine Commission, has announced the big winners for 2025.

In such a diverse region, we must highlight the beautiful whites, especially those produced with the Arinto grape variety; the fortified wines of Carcavelos; and the brandies of Lourinhã (one of the three demarcated regions in Europe, on a par with the famous French brandies, Armagnac and Cognac).

Below are some suggestions of the award-winning wines in this competition, which ‘positions and values the quality, consistency, diversity and identity of Lisbon wines, one of the great Portuguese regions, expressing a unique Atlantic character that is increasingly recognised in Portugal and in the main export markets’.

If you are not yet familiar with them, this is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the wines of Lisbon and learn more about this surprising region of Atlantic influence.

Shall we find out more about the winners?

Note: It is important to note that, in specific cases, the year tasted in the competition does not coincide with the year on sale.
