Crasto Porto Tawny 40 Years is the result of blending wines from various years, aged in Portuguese oak barrels for an average of 40 years.

With a deep, brilliant golden hue, marked by amber reflections and delicate greenish nuances, the Crasto 40-Year-Old Tawny demonstrates unparalleled aromatic complexity and intensity, the result of decades of aging in wood. On the nose, aromas of dried fruits such as figs, dates, and walnuts emerge, elegantly combined with soft touches of honey, candied orange peel, sweet spices, and iodine. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with a sweetness well-balanced by vibrant acidity. Its velvety texture, with extremely elegant and polished tannins, lends harmony to the wine, while the refreshing acidity intensifies the experience. It finishes long, persistent, and memorable.

Store and Serve Advices:
We recommend serving this wine slightly chilled, ideally at a temperature between 12° and 16°C. Given its characteristics, this wine can be enjoyed for an extended period after opening the bottle. Ideally, we recommend drinking the wine within two months of opening the bottle.

Food Pairing:
It is a sublime accompaniment to many desserts. It combines very well with flavours of figs, almonds, and caramel. It is equally excellent with a crème brûlée or a bowl of strawberries. It can also be enjoyed on its own, at the end of a meal, or with nuts and other dried fruits.
